You will join us at a pivotal moment, near the end of the leadership gifts phase of a carefully planned, multi-year campaign to raise $500 million to benefit UCF. This position is responsible for the discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift prospects at the $25,000+ level or higher. The Director for Advancement, Regional & University-Wide Initiatives will represent the entire range of University needs and priorities and will maintain a portfolio of prospects and donors with multiple special philanthropic interests or in assigned geographic regions. The incumbent will develop and implement a yearly strategic fundraising plan for each assignment with a goal of actively moving prospects forward in the giving process. Salary is competitive. Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience. Some regional and national travel/overnight travel is required. Excellent interpersonal skills of active listening, conflict resolution, and leadership are a must. Demonstrates decisiveness and sound judgment in decision making and use of University resources.
