To apply: http://www.cci.org/careers.html  SUMMARY This position is responsible for planning, coordination, implementation and management of fund development, community outreach and general administration in the geographical territory covered by the center. This position oversees all aspects of regional development and administration and supports the program functions in accordance with national management.  This position serves at the head of the Regional Campus and is responsible for managing the daily business operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned as needed: Development (Fund & Volunteer Development, Community Outreach) Responsible for the advancement of Canine Companions’ mission, vision, and values in the region. Directs operations to meet or exceed qualitative and quantitative regional goals for revenue, public support, donor and volunteer cultivation, community outreach, marketing, and public relations. Working with National management, develops the annual regional income and expense budget. Manages and monitors regional revenue and development expenses to meet or exceed goals and objectives. Regularly analyzes and reports on variances between actual and budgeted income and expense levels.  Partners with program management to ensure program objectives are supported and program expenses do not exceed targets for assigned areas. Working with the Chief Development Officer, develops and implements a comprehensive regional fundraising plan to include specific development goals, objectives and metrics that support National goats, strategies and initiatives. Leads and manages regional staff in fund development activities such as networking, donor cultivation and solicitation and stewardship, grant research and writing, production of charitable events, engagement of clubs and service organizations, participating directly in these activities as best serves the mission. Empowers and supports the regional board, chapter(s), and volunteer group fundraising and outreach efforts.  In collaboration with National Development, the Executive Director identifies, cultivates, closes, and stewards development in the development of:  Major Individual Donors Legacy Donors Corporate Partners Foundations Public Relations Opportunities Achieves or exceeds assigned goals in major gift fundraising for assigned donor portfolio. Collaborates and supports National initiatives such as capital, endowment or marketing campaigns. Works with public relations and marketing staff to ensure optimum levels of support for all activities and initiatives. Partners with program staff at both National and Regional levels to ensure effective relationships and communications are maintained and program goals are supported and achieved. Collaborates with national planned giving, national corporate partnerships and national community events staff to maximize donor relationships and contributions and sponsorship potential and impact. Regularly communicates on development initiatives, offering timely data on development activities. Ensures that regional activity is documented in accordance with current policies and procedures. Serves as the lead representative for Canine Companions in the region.  Actively promotes and optimizes a strong flow of public presentations, awareness and partnerships. Travels throughout the region for cultivation of key communities and activities such as donor or prospect calls, small group meetings, community lectures, or public demonstrations to showcase the agency’s mission Administration Responsible for effective center management to ensure regional compliance with all company policies and procedures, standards, benchmarks, best practices and guidelines Develops and works with the regional board, striving to achieve demographics representative of the region where the center is located. Oversees regional development and administrative staff recruitment, hiring, and training to ensure successful performance and compliance with company’s policies and procedures.
