At Quest Inc, the Manager of Volunteers & Events will support all initiatives and departments at Quest by providing volunteers as requested in a timely fashion and to seek out fundraising support from Quest’s volunteer groups and individuals; to support, provide direction and raise funds relating to events, meetings and other items as they arise in the Development Department.  Provide support for Tampa Development team as they initiate their events plans. There are three key areas of responsibility integral to this position: 1. Volunteer Management: Maintain an effective volunteer recruitment and cultivation campaign updating changes as needed to meet the needs of the mission. 2. Fundraising Role: Seek out fundraising partnership opportunities with volunteers, vendors and other partners for Join the Quest, Wine Quest and other events and programs. 3. Event Management & Logistics: Undertake logistics for events including join the Quest, Wine Quest and other events as assigned. Volunteer Management: o Work with Quest program staff on identifying volunteer needs and coordinating volunteer activities and/or identify programmatic opportunities for volunteers groups who reach out to Quest in a desire to support the mission. o Recruit, coordinate and train event volunteers utilizing community partnerships and team members for Wine Quest, Join the Quest and other events and provide orientation for volunteers. o Maintain file/record for all volunteers and partnerships.  o Update Quest website as needed with volunteer needs from programs.  o Upload and update forms as needed for volunteers.  o Follow up with volunteers, as needed, to send their request to the appropriate programs and/or to Human Resources for those volunteer positions requiring Level 2 clearance.    o Plan, implement and coordinate all volunteer activities related to the Holiday Parties at the group homes and training centers.  o Coordinate with the program managers to ensure success.  o Follow up with thank you’s to the volunteer leaders.  o Track and record volunteer hours and in-kind donations, and produce a monthly volunteer report showing amount of hours donated to agency.  o Send report to accounting. Ensure thank you letters are sent for in kind donations.  2. Fundraising Role: o Look to individuals and groups as potential sources for contributed revenue.  o Develop a standard protocol for follow up with all volunteers that continues to engage the volunteers and solicits contributions for the benefit of the mission. o Look to event partners, Quest vendors and other community partners as potential sources for contributed revenue via sponsorships and other appeals. o Plan and coordinate tours for Visit Quest program (monthly tours open to interested parties in the community.)   o Follow up with visitors using conventional donor practices.  o Review and analyze and recommend changes for current program to increase community participation. o Assist the Sr. Director of Development with maintenance of the stewardship program, as needed, for all stakeholders.  o Compose correspondence and distribute communications to stakeholders, as required.  3. Event Management & Logistics: o Undertake logistics for events including Join the Quest, Wine Quest and other events as assigned. o Manage ticketing; event checklists; expense tracking; event games; table and event signage; decor coordination and centerpieces; research/ purchase- sponsor gifts; volunteer recognition; guests takeaway; miscellaneous items as needed. o Seek out new event prospects that could further the mission and maximize fundraising and community engagement opportunities. o Prepare for all aspects of meetings to include refreshments, agendas, other paperwork, as well as follow-up of meeting notes and associated items which arise. Includes, for example, lunches for Wine Quest and other committee meetings, as requested. o Maintain data for the Development Department team using DonorPro, notebooks for individual events and initiatives, as well as electronic files.  Insert contact information into Constant Contact and/or Donor Pro on a weekly basis. o Assist Tampa Development staff in initiating, planning and executing events, as needed.   Other: o Engage in education and enrichment of the donor process through classes, outreach, webinars and other outlets. o Serve as an active member of the Development team and attend all department meetings. o Follow all policies and procedures of the department and the organization. o Perform any and all other duties as assigned. Qualifications ·       College degree required in Event Management, Liberal Arts, Communications, Marketing or other relevant area of focus ·       4-5 years in volunteer management, event planning, special events, or Fundraising.  Rollins College Edyth Bush Institute Certificate in Volunteer Management a plus but not a requirement ·      Possess excellent o
