Director of Development Childcare Resources of Indian River Vero Beach, FL Organizational Summary Our client, Childcare Resources, a major childcare nonprofit organization, is seeking a new Director of Development. Located in the beautiful Vero Beach, Florida area, this position will lead all development activities including individual gifts, major giving, planned giving, and annual gifts campaign.  This collaborative leader will also have the advantage of guiding and utilizing an experienced and committed Executive Director, senior leadership team and Board of Directors. Position Responsibilities Establishing and managing a new, comprehensive development program, this experienced fundraising leader will receive support from several areas of the organization, including marketing and administration, but will be capable of working independently to instill the motivation and clear vision needed to take this well-respected organization to the next level.  To do so, this new development professional will utilize the current donor database of individuals, corporations and sponsors that believe in the mission and vision of this growing, industry leading organization, as well as, cultivating new donors.  S/he will bring the energy and enthusiasm desired to motivate local individuals and businesses to partner and support this impactful organization. Position Qualifications The ideal candidate will have 6 - 8 years of related, progressively responsible experience in building and implementing a high-volume development program. This will include demonstrated expertise in creating and launching broad-based development strategies that will engage and raise the amount of philanthropic giving needed to support and expand the organization’s highly effective and valuable programs and services.  This professional will have the proven ability to work across the company and with the Board to help achieve the organization’s development goals and business objectives. A Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline is needed, and an advanced degree and/or industry certification (i.e. CFRE) is desirable. Compensation and Relocation This position provides an attractive base salary, an incentive compensation program and excellent benefits.  It also will provide relocation assistance for experienced, out-of-market candidates.
