POSITION TITLE:          Associate Development Director LOCATION:                  Orlando, Florida DEPARTMENT:            Development REPORTS TO:               Development Director ABOUT US Covenant House Florida is dedicated to serving all young people, with absolute respect and unconditional love, to guide youth experiencing homelessness, and to protect and safeguard all youth in need. JOB DUTIES: Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Partner with the Director of Development to set priorities and goals for the department Work with the Development Director to create, oversee, and implement a strategic plan to meet fundraising goals Build new and maintain existing relationships with existing community partners and professionals Responsible for achieving regional revenue targets through the execution of special events and other fundraising activities Develops and coordinates activities with Covenant House Florida’s Central Florida based Ambassador Board Ability to keep peer-to-peer fundraising participants and other volunteers motivated to reach revenue goals Produce fundraising events, including executing logistics, securing event venues and vendors including all necessary permits, contracts and payments and provide support to those groups that want to host an event Secure sponsorships for major fundraising events Proactively cultivate and develop new relationships with individuals, small businesses and organizations to raise and leverage both financial and non-financial resources Responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors Collaborate with the Major Gift Officer and/or Development Director on gifts over $10,000. Plan and execute all fundraising and stewardship events to achieve goals - including post event follow up and conversion Attend networking events to assist Covenant House Florida’s visibility in the community Serve as a representative for Covenant House Florida in Central Florida, presenting to various groups promoting CHF and its events and acting as spokesperson when necessary Ensure consistent and accurate constituent engagement records Required Education, Experience, and Abilities: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience Experience developing and maintaining productive working relationships with donors, volunteers, and program and administrative staff Experience seeking out and cultivating relationships that lead to increased agency funding Experience in peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with individuals from different backgrounds and disciplines. Strong analytical skills (e.g., proficiency with Excel) and the ability to offer both creative and data-driven solutions Maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by an employee occupying this position.
