Development Specialist/Grant Writer
The Development Specialist/Grant Writer supports all fundraising and grant attainment efforts for Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center, Rosen Parramore PS8 Foundation, and Rosen Tangelo Park Preschool Foundation. This includes general and capital campaigns, special events, donor relations and all activities required to seek and maintain grants from foundations, corporations, and government entities. This position will also provide some support to Rosen Hotels’ community relations efforts and report to the Senior HR Manager of Communications and Community Relations.
Seek and acquire new funding opportunities for Rosen’s 501c3 organizations to include Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center, Rosen Parramore PS8 Foundation, Tangelo Park Preschool Foundation, and Adam Michael Rosen Foundation.
Research and evaluate grant opportunities for program and capacity alignment and make recommendations for pursuit of such grants.
Prepare and submit all grant applications, proposals, letters of intent and grant reports with strict adherence to deadlines.
Collaborate with relevant staff to gather pertinent program information and goals for grant submissions.
Disseminate details for awarded grants and ensure methods are in place for tracking target outcomes.
Drive development by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting high-level corporate sponsors and individual donors while maintaining an ongoing pipeline of potential donors.
Partner with communications and community relations teams on fundraising campaign and donor relations messaging.
Maintain records and submit reports for all sought after grants to include deadlines, status and expiration dates.
Support strategies to encourage and increase in-kind donations of materials and services.
Serve as a resource for scholarship funding research for the Rosen scholarship program.
Able to build effective relationships with donors, corporate contacts, and potential donors.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proven grant writing experience and track record of successful grant attainment for nonprofit organizations.
Capable of managing constantly changing work priorities in a deadline-oriented, time-sensitive environment.
Skilled at identifying new technologies and innovative opportunities to advance fundraising efforts.
Ability to regularly use independent judgment, discretion, and analytical skills to problem solve.
Ability to work as part of a team with senior leadership and staff.
Must possess proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, document processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
Minimum of three years of demonstrated non-profit sector experience in a fundraising and development role.
